Every family has a story worth remembering, and every life is filled with small, beautiful moments that deserve to be captured and preserved.
My love for film and photography didn’t come from flashy beginnings, it was born in the ordinary magic of real life. I grew up in a family full of camera-shy people. My grandmother, in particular, hated being in front of the lens. But what she did love was being surrounded by memories. Her living room walls were covered in photographs of her children and grandchildren - snapshots of birthdays, holidays, graduations, and small moments frozen in time. I’d sit for hours just studying those photos, flipping through album after album, mesmerized by the faces, the places, and the stories they held.
Ironically, my grandmother’s aversion to being photographed made me more determined to capture every moment I could. I became the official family “paparazzi”, always nearby, camera in hand, ready to snap a photo or hit record when no one was looking. I found joy in catching the in-between moments: the laughter during clean-up after a big meal, the pride in someone’s eyes after reaching a milestone, or the gentle touch between two different generations. It wasn’t about posing. It was about preserving.
That insatiable passion eventually grew into a mission: a mission to make sure no one in my family, and now, no one in your family, goes unseen or unheard. I want to be there not just for the major life events, but also for the subtle, quiet, deeply meaningful moments that often pass us by because I know that one day, those are the memories we’ll want the most.
